SIGNATURE for Leadership Optimization is a five-month psychedelic-accelerated leadership program designed for executives already performing at a high level and ready to expand beyond it. Grounded in the ancient Greek concept of Arête — your highest embodied potential in service — this experience combines weekly group preparation, executive coaching, psychedelic medicine, somatic work, and ongoing integration to support meaningful and lasting transformation. Hosted in Aspen on the Aspen Meadows campus of the Aspen Institute, the five-day retreat immerses participants in an environment intentionally designed for world-class leaders to think, create, and evolve. A psychedelic healing retreat in 2019 changed his life as he witnessed these treatments transform—and even save—others. Determined not to wait for federal action, he helped establish the nation's first municipal therapeutic model in Aspen and later served on Colorado's Natural Medicine Advisory Board, shaping the framework SANCTUM now operates under.

Dr. David Rabin is a board-certified psychiatrist and neuroscientist who has spent more than two decades studying the biology of stress, trauma, and human resilience.
As the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Apollo Neuroscience and the Executive Director of The Board of Medicine, he is a leading architect of evidence-based psychedelic standards and ethical clinical practice worldwide.
Dr. Rabin turned toward psychedelic medicine after years of watching conventional treatments fall short for those carrying deep trauma — recognizing that these medicines may finally offer the consciousness shift required to move from managing symptoms to achieving true cures.
At SANCTUM, he oversees our medical and safety architecture — including tapering and screening frameworks — and guides our science-based research and continuous learning process. His leadership ensures that every protocol, outcome, and experience is studied, refined, and elevated, keeping SANCTUM at the forefront of safe, effective, and ever-evolving psychedelic-assisted transformation.

Getting to SANCTUM is simple, with several airport and ground transportation options. The most direct route is flying into Aspen–Pitkin County Airport (ASE), located about 10–15 minutes from both your lodging and our center, and for retreat experiences inclusive of lodging, complimentary transportation to and from ASE is included. Guests may also fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), approximately a 3.5-hour drive, or Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT), approximately a 2.5-hour drive, where rental cars and shuttle services are available at an additional cost. For those arriving by car, Aspen is accessible year-round via Highway 82 and, in summer months, via the scenic Independence Pass. Once you're here, everything is intentionally walkable, supported by free local shuttles, so no vehicle is required during your stay.

Enrollment in SANCTUM's SIGNATURE for Leadership Optimization program is confirmed upon receipt of a completed enrollment agreement and a non-refundable deposit. Enrollment is contingent upon successful completion of SANCTUM's medical and safety screening. SANCTUM reserves the right to decline enrollment if screening criteria are not met, in which case any payments beyond the deposit will be refunded in full.
The remaining program balance is due in full no later than 60 days prior to the retreat start date. Failure to remit the remaining balance by the due date may result in forfeiture of enrollment and deposit. All payments are processed in US dollars.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@sanctumaspen.com. More than 90 days before retreat start: deposit is forfeited; all additional payments are refunded in full. 61–90 days before retreat start: 25% of total program fee is forfeited. 31–60 days before retreat start: 50% of total program fee is forfeited. 30 days or fewer before retreat start: no refund will be issued.
All participants must complete SANCTUM's medical and safety screening prior to enrollment confirmation. This program is not appropriate for individuals with Bipolar I disorder, schizophrenia, or related schizoaffective conditions. Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information during screening is grounds for immediate removal from the program without refund.
SANCTUM operates in full compliance with Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act (Proposition 122). All medicine ceremonies are facilitated by licensed practitioners in a supervised, structured, and legal environment. Participants agree to follow all safety protocols and facilitator instructions throughout the retreat.
All participants agree to respect the privacy of fellow participants and hold all shared material in strict confidence outside the program.
By enrolling, participants voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with psychedelic-assisted experiences and immersive retreat settings. Participants agree to hold harmless SANCTUM, its founders, facilitators, staff, contractors, and venue partners from any claim, loss, injury, or liability arising from participation.
